An additional way to obtain the use of software in an era of constrained Athletic Budgets

During the Spring of 2007, we introduced our Season Pass Subscription program. With Season Pass, a software license is not purchased, rather it is "rented". In other words, Season Pass is a "subscription" option rather than a one-time purchase option.

Based on its limited use during the 2007 season, Season Pass was discontinued, as most coaches opted to purchase software licenses during what most would agree were better economic times.  We're reintroducing the Season Pass for the 2010 season to make it possible for more individual coaches and schools to afford our video editing software products. In addition, we're adding a license conversion option that will be available at renewal time for those who want to switch to our traditional purchase license.

The questions and answers below provide an overview of the Season Pass program.  Season Pass is available by special request.

How exactly does the Season Pass program work?

Season Pass is a method of acquiring the use of software for a period of time.  At the time of expiration, the licenses under Season Pass can be renewed or allowed to expire. 

What products are included?

Only products published by CompuSports are included under the Season Pass program.  Initially, these products include Easy-Scout Professional and Easy-Cut, if licensed in a bundle with Easy-Scout Professional (see below).

Can I still purchase a license as before?

Yes. The Season Pass program is an additional way to acquire the use of software.

Season Pass does not replace the traditional software licenses that will continue to be available for purchase. Rather, it is an alternative for paying for their use. 

Is there any obligation to renew?

No. You may elect not to reactivate the software upon the Season Pass expiration, or you can purchase a traditional license for the product that will not require a renewal each year.  A portion of the Season Pass license cost will be applied to an outright license purchase.

Do I need an internet connection to use the software?

No.  Programs available under Season Pass are installed and run on a computer as any other software.  You are not required to have an internet connection.
