OVERVIEW
What is a Software Maintenance
Agreement ?
A software maintenance agreement includes:
-
All Updates and Version Upgrades released
during the time a maintenance agreement is in effect.
-
Assistance with License Transfers, Replacement
serial numbers and registration keys that are necessitated by a redeployment of the software on a different computer.
* Note: The simple reinstallation of software on the same computer does not require a replacement serial number since it will normally not change.
-
Telephone, Live Chat and remote
troubleshooting support for the current version of the software
(until the applicable free support period expires).
-
Assistance in resolving problems that are caused by Microsoft automatic updates, operating system changes, etc.
Do all products have Software Maintenance
Agreements?
Many, but not all of our products have software
maintenance agreements. Software Maintenance
is available and highly recommended for our Video
Editing and Athletic Equipment Management software
products.
Question:
Is it possible to transfer a license from
one computer to another when software maintenance is not
available or was not purchased?
Answer: In
some cases, yes this is possible and included as a
feature of a Software maintenance agreement when one
is available. When Maintenance is not available, an
add-on license can be purchased or a license can be
transferred for a fraction of the initial license
purchase cost.
