The series of screen shots below show the Easy-Scout XP Professional Play and
Video Editing
Screens with all "fields" displayed.  Fields are attributes of a
play, such as Down, Distance, Hash, etc. When first installed, Easy-Scout displays all of these fields, or attributes but it is not necessary to complete each one. In addition, it is possible to remove fields from these screens quickly and easily. Easy-Scout XP Professional includes both a "data entry" screen and a "video editor screen" - the difference being the Video Editor screen has a video player. This design offers maximum flexibility and convenience, and it is possible to "connect" data and video at anytime.Using the "Play Entry" or "data-entry" screen shown below, a game can be "scouted" by entering plays that were "charted" on a form or on a play card, and tendency reports can then be produced.
The "data-entry", or "data-only" screen is particularly useful when time or logistical constraints make it impractical or impossible to transfer video to the computer or "tag plays" for all games on an opponent. Once the data is entered, however, it is possible to "connect a video file with a game, and then associate a play with a video clip by simply tagging the Start and Stop points. The next screen is the Video Editor Screen, which functions as a Video Player that makes it possible to collect scouting data while watching the video of a game. An excellent tool for simply watching video in its own right, the Video Editor can "toggle" between standard and full screen playback and its "slider" makes it easy to locate a specific place in a game while viewing the video at the same time. A "VCR" button controls play/pause and special buttons make it possible to "step" back and forward, rewind and fast forward and Rewind/Play.
The Start and Stop "buttons" are used to "tag" the spot where a video clip should start and end, and can be set and reset by simply clicking the mouse - even while the video is running! A "possession" setting can be "customized" to include any number of types, such as Offense, Defense, Kicking, Punts, Punt Returns, 2- point plays, etc. In addition, it is possible to identify one or two players for each clip for producing player highlight videos. The images below show the Run and Pass detail "tabs" respectively. "Tabs" are used to keep the screen organized and uncluttered.
