Exporting Athletes

When exporting Athlete information, the fields displayed on the Athlete Pane that are listed below under Basic Import/Export Field Order will be included. Easy-Recruiter also allows you to specify that the export file contain:

All athletes currently entered into the system, or
Only the current list of records displayed on the Athlete Pane. This option filters the exported records for Curent Sport and any Athlete Search criteria if a search result is currently active.

To Export Athlete information:

Use the Athlete Pane to display the entire list for the Current Sport and/or performing an Athlete Search.
Then use the toolbar button to extract information into an external file.

Importing Athletes

When importing Athlete information, Easy-Recruiter provides a Basic Import feature along with an Advanced Import feature. The Basic Import feature requires the incoming data to only contain Athlete Fields in a specified order (shown below). The Advanced Import feature allows you to combine fields from Athletes, Schools, and Coaches in any order necessary.

Basic Import Feature

To Import Athlete information:

Use the Toolbar button on the Athlete Pane, or
Go to the Settings Pane and use the "Import" button under the Data tab on the lower portion of the screen.
If your import file has been prepared to conform to the Basic Import Field Order listed below, specify the filename and file type and then click on the Import button.
If your import file requires a customized field order, specify the filename and file type and then click on the Advanced button to refer to Advanced Import for more information.

Note - Import files used for a Basic Athlete Import must be structured with columns for each field listed above and in the order specified. The only required fields are Athlete Name and Athlete Sport. Other fields may be considered optional and left blank, however the file should still be structured accordingly and contain empty columns for unused fields. For an example of a properly structured import file, generate and export file for review.
