This is the Easy-Cut Video Clip Editor - or "tagging" screen - used to watch video, "tag" clips and add them to an Easy-Cut project. Typical VCR controls allow for Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward and Replay. An Snapshot tool is included for recording a still frame of a video to a file that can be inserted in a Powerpoint or Word document or used in a wide variety of ways. Snapshots are supported for uncompressed file formats. Many coaches like the fact that the Easy-Cut editor is resizable which makes Easy-Cut great for viewing Digital Video on the screen while editing it.
Easy-Cut Video Tagging Screen The uncluttered editing screen is both "easy on the eyes" and easy to operate. In addition to a full suite of VCR style controls, a slider makes positioning playback quick and accurate and a Snapshot feature makes it possible to "take a picture" of a paused video clip and save it to a file. Easy-Cut includes three "built in" tags that enable you to record as little or as much information about the play, or clip as you wish. A Description tag is a "free form" text entry box, and two Category tags accept text entries while providing a "carry forward" default value capability. A "carry forward" default inserts the entry from the previous clip. This is very useful when repeating certain types of plays, for example. The Category 1 and 2 tags create lists from the values used in the respective column in the active project. This makes it possible to select a word or phrase from a drop down list or to use the "quickfill" capability by typing the first few letters. The Description and both Category tags are visible in the Project Grid and the Project Preview window to aid in managing projects and performing selective playback on one or more clips. In addition to the built-in tags, it is possible to create as many custom tags as necessary for recording additional information about each clip. |
