The Easy-Cut Menu and Toolbar shown below, contain functions and tasks for working with Easy-Cut projects.

The Easy-Cut Project Grid is displayed when a clip (video file) is added to a new Easy-Cut project, an existing Easy-Cut projects is opened, or an Easy-Scout XP Movie Project is imported.

Easy-Cut projects consist of one or more clips (plays) - represented as a row in the Project grid.  Each row represents a play and contains information about that play.   This information contains a number of required fields, or attributes as well as optional, user defined fields or attributes.  In the example below, we are looking at columns that were imported from Easy-Scout XP Professional.

The File Menu contains options for working with Easy-Cut projects and for customizing the Easy-Cut "columns" .

The Import Easy-Scout XP project function will read a file created by Easy-Scout XP Professional into Easy-Cut. From there, any number of individual Digital Video files can be created, which can be used to create "cutups" on CD's and DVD's as well as Windows Media files suitable for distribution by email and posting online.

The Clips Menu and toolbar icons are used for adding and working with Clips in the project

Easy-Cut's Title tool can create "leader" titles and text slides "on the fly" and also save them for future use. With Easy-Cut, its quick and easy to build a library of titles that can be inserted into projects like any other video clip.

A Preview Output function makes it possible to select a play from the Project grid and view it in a special Preview Window that can be "toggled" to and from full screen mode. This is especially useful when used in conjunction with Screen Projection devices.
