Easy-Cut projects can be used to create new "Movie files", by simply :

1 - Naming the Movie and the specifying the Location where it should be saved.

2 - Selecting the type of Compression Method that should be used to create the new Movie File.   The default "compression method" is Windows Media (WMV) format and the default quality is Highest Quality (Full Screen) 640x480. This will produce a video file optimized for displaying on a computer screen or overhead projector. This file is also suitable for writing to a DVD or VCD using the computer's "burner" and any number of DVD creation software applications.

When higher quality output than that which is produced by the Windows Media formats is required, Easy-Cut has a DIVX Compression option that will create a file in DIVX format that works with a DIVX codec if it is installed. DIVX is ideal for producing video clips that will be burned to a DVD, and is a free download from www.divx.com. DIVX also includes a program for converting DVD's to a format that is compatible with Easy-Cut.

There are two other Windows Media options, one for producing a Medium Quality "small screen" video files for downloading and another for producing a file for "Streaming" Video that is played over the web.

3. Making the Movie - using the name, location and quality settings you specified.

4. Viewing the Movie - the Link will launch the new movie in Windows Media Player.
