Easy-Cut is our most affordable sports video editing software - designed to make it quick and easy to "index" or categorize video "clips",
or plays with one or more pieces of information. Once plays are indexed,
Easy-Cut can sort, filter and produce cutups.
Easy-Cut can be
configured for use with any sport and shared between coaches of different sports ! With our school-friendly
licensing, the cost of providing video editing capabilities to all or
part of a coaching staff is a fraction of most of our competitors.
Why Easy-Cut?
Easy-Cut, first and foremost is simple and affordable.
It is quick to install, quick to learn and makes it possible for someone with
only basic knowledge of computer video editing concepts to be productive
quickly.
Easy-Cut is ideal for watching game "film" on the computer and quickly "tagging" (cutting) and retrieving plays.
Easy-Cut works on just about any computer capable
of running Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 - little to no additional hardware is required.
Easy-Cut works with a number of video formats,
including Windows Media.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Viewing and Cutting
Using
Easy-Cut's video editor controls, plays can be viewed, paused, reversed,
advanced and restarted. Plays are "marked" and then "added" to an
Easy-Cut "project" with "identifying criteria" such as
Run/Pass, Offense/Defense or with a player's name or
number
(for highlights).
2. Organizing and Retrieving plays
Easy-Cut organize plays into projects based on user-defined
criteria. Easy-Cut has a spreadsheet-like Project Grid
that has the ability to sort, sequence and filter plays for viewing
or "exporting" to a cutup file. A title tool for
creating "text slides" is included. Titles can then be inserted into
one or more projects.
3. Viewing Plays Creating (exporting) Video Cutups
The project grid makes it quick and easy to view one or more plays
based on its descriptive "criteria". In addition, a group of
plays can be selected (filtered) and organized (sorted) into a
desired sequence, and used to create
"Cutup" files that are smaller and more "portable" than the video of
the full games.
Video cutup files are today's equivalent of "splicing" film
together, ad consist of only the plays that are selected. Video
cutups are ideal for copying to a memory stick, portable media
player, burning to a CD or DVD or uploading to a team web site, YouTube or to an online video sharing service.
